NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
COVID-19 Emergency Order:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and governmental pronouncements and orders relating thereto, in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of our citizens and residents, all meetings of the SRCD Board and any and all committees shall, until further Order be held maintaining social distancing standards and will limit guest attendance based on the size of the location of the meeting. Per the direction of the Governor of WV, face coverings must be worn in all confined indoor places where social distancing cannot be maintained. Because of this, face masks will be required when the Board meets in person."
The public shall be afforded the opportunity to watch/listen and comment telephonically or electronically. All notices for meetings shall be posted to the SRCD website ONLY.

1) What legal commitment currently exists between Snowshoe and SFFD?
There is currently no legal commitment between Snowshoe and the fire department. Snowshoe recognizes the importance of fire and EMS services for our community and guests.
2) Has the board fully reviewed all financials of the SFFD, not just 990?
The board has not reviewed their financials.
3) Who is responsible for the two notes to SFFD, one on the property, one on the equipment, and does the SCRD take those on?
These notes are currently funded by Snowshoe and the SRCD and would continue to be funded by the District should Shavers Ford Fire and Rescue become…
I have a few questions in regards to the fire dept transition 1) what legal commitment currently exists between Snowshoe and SFFD, 2) has the board fully reviewed all financials of the SFFD, not just 990, 3) who is responsible for the two notes to SFFD, one on the property, one on the equipment, and does the SCRD take those on, 4) is the goal to have a full time fire department staff, the 990 shows 3 executive paid positions,100 thousand plus And a balance of about several hundred thousand dollars paid in compensation to perhaps Volunteers? 5) the records indicate between fire and rescue calls, numbering around 400 to 500 hundred per year , the revenue generated is about…
